Privacy Policy
Summary
The SETPACK app does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, and no tracking. Everything you create in SETPACK stays on your device unless you choose to share it. We have no servers that receive your project data, and we do not use analytics or third-party advertising SDKs. This website carries no analytics or tracking either.
There is exactly one place where we do receive personal data, and only if you choose to give it: the beta access form on this website, where you can ask to join the beta. That is described in full below.
What data the app handles
None on our side. SETPACK is an on-device tool. The lighting and production plans you build, including any labels, notes, and settings, are stored locally on your iPad. We never see them.
This policy is consistent with the app's Privacy Manifest ("Data Not Collected") and with the App Store "App Privacy" nutrition label.
Where your data lives
- On-device storage. Your projects (
.setpackfiles) are saved locally on your iPad by the app. - Your iCloud device backup. If you have iCloud Backup enabled for your iPad, your SETPACK data may be included in your own Apple iCloud backup, the same way as any other app's data. This backup is controlled entirely by Apple and by you through your Apple ID settings — SETPACK has no access to it and cannot read it.
- Sharing you initiate. You can export or share your
.setpackfiles using the iOS Files app and the standard iOS share sheet. Any such sharing is started by you and goes wherever you send it (AirDrop, another app, a cloud folder, email, etc.). SETPACK does not send your files anywhere on its own.
Subscriptions and payments
SETPACK PRO is an auto-renewable subscription (dev.setpack.pro.monthly) sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple is the merchant of record. All payment, billing, and card details are handled by Apple — SETPACK never receives or stores your payment information. Subscription status is validated on-device; if you are temporarily offline, an offline grace period keeps PRO features available.

Network use
SETPACK does not require a network connection to work and does not transmit your project data over the network. The only network interaction is Apple's standard App Store / StoreKit subscription verification, which is handled by the operating system.
Beta access form
While SETPACK is in beta, this website has a form you can use to ask for beta access. Filling it in is entirely voluntary — the app itself never asks for any of this, and you can use SETPACK without ever contacting us.
What we receive. Your email address, plus the answers you type: your role on set, the kind of work you shoot, your iPad model, how you currently plan lighting, and anything you tell us you wish existed.
Why. To select testers for a limited beta and to send you a TestFlight invitation. We use your answers to decide who is a good fit for this round. Nothing else.
What we will not do. We will not sell or share your address, we will not add you to a marketing list, and we will not email you about anything other than the beta.
Who processes it. The form runs on Tally (Tally BV, Ghent, Belgium), acting as our data processor. Submissions are stored and hosted in the EU. A notification email is sent to our own mailbox when a form is submitted.
How long we keep it. Until the beta programme ends, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
Legal basis. Your consent, given by choosing to submit the form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Your rights
The app. Because the app collects no personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export, or delete. Data stored on your device is fully under your control: you can delete any project inside the app, and removing the app deletes its local data.
The beta access form. If you submitted the form, you have the right to ask for a copy of what you sent, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted — and to withdraw your consent at any time. One email is enough, no explanation needed, and we will act on it promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Children
SETPACK is rated 4+ and is a professional planning tool. The app does not collect data from anyone, including children. The beta access form is aimed at working film professionals and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
